Chiropractic
At TCWC we
realize that each chiropractor has their own "touch", therefore by having 2 chiropractors in the office, we are
able to treat more patients and get them better, faster. At times, Dr. Mickelson and Dr. Klinginsmith will co-treat
patients so that each patient gets the maximum benefit. Our office provides safe, effective spinal corrections
to help you overcome aches, pains, numbness, stiffness, auto and sports injuries, work injuries and arthritis. Chiropractic
treatments may also include trigger point therapy, soft tissue therapy, and other pain management and rehabilitation modalities
including application of interferential therapy, russian therapy, microcurrent, heat or ice.
Spine Stabilizing Orthotics
Customized orthotics are quickly molded from your foot in the office.
Foot Leveler, Inc. orthotics are helpful for various foot conditions as well as balance the foundation of the body.
Foot Leveler, Inc. orthotics have been helpful with lower back pain, hip, knee, and ankle pain. Orthotics are also
excellent for serious athletes.
Nutritional Counseling for Sports or Lifestyle Changes
Chiropractic treatments work best in an environment of optimum nutrition and reduced stress. That’s why TCWC
provides special nutritional counseling for any athletic needs or any lifestyle changes. We can recommend various supplements
to aid in your specific goals, whether it be to gain muscle, loss fat, and/or general improvement in eating habits. In
the office we offer several popular sports nutritional products such as Optimum Nutrition, VPX, BSN, Gaspari Nutrition,
USPLabs, MHP, Nature's Best, Juice Rite (a JuicePlus alternative), and several other nutritional supplements.
We firmly believe that supplements should be available to everyone, therefore TCWC has found
high quality supplements and offers them at a very reasonable price. Feel free to call us with any
questions or would like to have information sent to you about any of the products we carry in our office. We are
currently increasing the number of sports nutrition vendors we carry in the office, so if you don't see it in on our website,
we are happy to order it for you.
As a figure compeitor, Dr. Tjode Mickelson has gained the knowledge of nutrition/dieting that is needed for
this highly competitive sport. She would be happy to put together a diet plan for anyone that is looking into competing
in a figure competition or just wants to eat better. Feel free to ask them any questions you have in regards to your
specific goals.
Customized stretches and exercises
As a patient of TCWC, you can expect to receive the best possible treatment to get you back
on your feet as soon as possible. In order to do this, the adjustments may not be enough. At this time, we may
suggest setting up a couple of sessions to put together an individualized exercise program for you to do at home to speed
up your recovery and hopefully to prevent the injury from occuring again. These sessions are important so that we can
make sure the exercises we send home with you will not only be challenging, but will not irritate the symptoms more.
This usually includes stretches and strengthening exercises with the Theraband exercise ball and/or bands that
are designed to maximize the benefits of your chiropractic treatment. We realize that time and money are of utmost importance
to our patients, therefore we will get you on your own ASAP. You are also more than welcome to come into the office and work with our staff to
do your full exercises regimen. Acupuncture now available!
